Recruitment Bonuses

The game gives templerec, libraryrec, atavirec and a $ in reclimiter a fixed table of bonuses, and stops counting at 5 temples and 10 library levels. With CoE5SE you define the table. Make everything rare with talent hard to find, or drown your users in mages.

They go right after the addunitrec, addmercrec or addcomrec they change. A later line for the same offer replaces an earlier one, and clearrec removes the class's bonuses with its offers.

More in the game's manual

The game's own recruitment commands are in Illwinter's official modding manual, under "Class Modding".

templerec <amount> [<cap>] New

The game's templerec adds a fixed amount for each temple the player owns, set by the offer's own chance, up to 5 temples:

Offer's chance Each temple adds 5 temples add
9% or more 4% 20%
3% to 8% 3% 15%
0% to 2% 2% 10%

With CoE5SE you set the amount, and every temple counts.

  • amount: The chance added for each temple, 0% to 100%.
  • cap: The most temples that count, 0 to 1000. Without it, every temple counts.

The game's table, on a 6% commander (only 5 temples count):

addcomrec "Elven Mage" 6 120 20 0
templerec # 8 temples at 21%

Or your own, every temple counting:

addcomrec "Elven Mage" 6 120 20 0
templerec 4 # 8 temples at 38%

The game's table, on a 6% commander (only 5 temples count):

addcomrec "Elven Mage" 6 120 20 0
templerec # 8 temples at 21%

Or your own, every temple counting:

addcomrec "Elven Mage" 6 120 20 0
templerec 4 # 8 temples at 38%

libraryrec <amount> [<cap>] New

The game's libraryrec adds a fixed amount for each library level on the squares the player owns, up to 10 levels:

Offer's chance Each level adds 10 levels add
9% or more 3% 30%
3% to 8% 2% 20%
0% to 2% 1% 10%

With CoE5SE you set the amount, and every level counts.

  • amount: The chance added for each library level, 0% to 100%.
  • cap: The most library levels that count, 0 to 1000. Without it, every level counts.

The game's table, on a 3% commander (only 10 levels count):

addcomrec "Grey Wizard" 3 150 20 0
libraryrec # 20 library levels at 23%

Or your own, with a limit of 15:

addcomrec "Grey Wizard" 3 150 20 0
libraryrec 3 15 # 20 library levels at 48%

The game's table, on a 3% commander (only 10 levels count):

addcomrec "Grey Wizard" 3 150 20 0
libraryrec # 20 library levels at 23%

Or your own, with a limit of 15:

addcomrec "Grey Wizard" 3 150 20 0
libraryrec 3 15 # 20 library levels at 48%

atavirec <amount> [<cap>] New

The game's atavirec adds a fixed amount for each Atavi Tribe Village the player owns, with no limit:

Offer's chance Each village adds
9% or more 3%
3% to 8% 2%
0% to 2% 1%

With CoE5SE you set the amount.

  • amount: The chance added for each village, 0% to 100%.
  • cap: The most villages that count, 0 to 1000. Without it, every village counts.

The game's table, on a 10% offer:

addunitrec "Hobbit Archer" 10 5 30 5 0
atavirec # 4 Atavi villages at 22%

Or your own:

addunitrec "Hobbit Archer" 10 5 30 5 0
atavirec 6 # 4 Atavi villages at 34%

The game's table, on a 10% offer:

addunitrec "Hobbit Archer" 10 5 30 5 0
atavirec # 4 Atavi villages at 22%

Or your own:

addunitrec "Hobbit Archer" 10 5 30 5 0
atavirec 6 # 4 Atavi villages at 34%

reclimiter "$<monster>" <amount> [<cap>] New

The game's reclimiter with a $ adds a fixed amount for each unit of that monster the player has, anywhere, with no limit:

Offer's chance Each unit adds
9% or more 3%
3% to 8% 2%
0% to 2% 1%

With CoE5SE you set the amount.

  • monster: A monster's name after the $, as in the game's reclimiter.
  • amount: The chance added for each unit, 0% to 100%.
  • cap: The most units that count, 0 to 1000. Without it, every unit counts.

The game's table, on a 2% offer of 5 Rangers:

addunitrec "Ranger of Ithilien" 2 5 60 0 5
reclimiter "$Tower Guard of Minas Tirith" # 20 Tower Guards at 22%

Or your own:

addunitrec "Ranger of Ithilien" 2 5 60 0 5
reclimiter "$Tower Guard of Minas Tirith" 3 # 20 Tower Guards at 62%

The game's table, on a 2% offer of 5 Rangers:

addunitrec "Ranger of Ithilien" 2 5 60 0 5
reclimiter "$Tower Guard of Minas Tirith" # 20 Tower Guards at 22%

Or your own:

addunitrec "Ranger of Ithilien" 2 5 60 0 5
reclimiter "$Tower Guard of Minas Tirith" 3 # 20 Tower Guards at 62%

A - limiter, humancost 999 or a priest level the offer needs sets the chance to 0 after templerec, libraryrec and atavirec count, so it wipes their bonus. A $ line counts later, in its place among the reclimiter lines, so it lifts that 0, unless a - line below it sets 0 again.

For players without CoE5SE

Their game reads the command without the numbers and uses its own table.
